Abdominoplasty Before And After

Question:

Following up on the liposuction saga I posted a few days ago. I had my 2nd consultation with a plastic surgeon who confirmed that liposuction would only make my elephant-skin blubber tummy worse. We both agreed that a full tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is not an option as I want to have more kids someday (a long way off, though!). But he reccommended a "mini" tummy tuck that was not as drastic, but would still get rid of most of the extra skin and underlying fat.

Anyone had this or heard of it? Details please! Could I really get pregnant again?

Answer:

It's perfectly possible, AFAIK, to have another baby after a full abdominoplasty, but you may lose your results (I would think the same might be true of a mini one, but you'd have less money invested). I looked up "mini tummy tuck" (with quotation marks) on Google and got a number of helpful sites, including this one: http://content.ebody.com/plastic_surgery/articles/200003/article657.html which seemed quite informative. Several have before-and-after pictures.

The mini version sounds a little more attractive to me -- if I were ever going to be at ideal body weight! That's the real kicker. :( I got down to under pre-pregnancy after Peter was born, but alas, it's crept back on again, and more, I'm afraid.
