Abdominoplasty Stories
|
Question: I have been seriously considering having surgery to get rid of my 'I had 2
babies weighing over eight and a half pounds, with loads of fluid and large
placentas' left overs - sagging skin above my bikini line. I am going to
wait until I get fitter and to goal, but I know there is no way exercise
will cure this curse! I want a mini-abdominoplasty or apronectomy as it is
known, and wondered if anyone had any negative/positive stories, experiences
or friends experiences. I don't want the full abdominoplasty 'cus that
looks way too nasty!
can anyone give me some suggestions?
Answer: I'd defintely leave it a while. I've got the same sort of problem, and very
slowly it's getting better. I do excercise several times a week, with an
abdominal section to my routine, and slowly but slowly I'm noticing a
difference. I think it may just take your body a lot longer to reshape
than we really want! Wait until you've reached goal, got into a regular
excercise program, maintained for long enough for your body to adjust to
where you are, and then see where you stand. Mine is way better than I
thought it would ever be.......and I had considered that surgery was going
to be something I would have to do. So, ........hang in there, it's a
waiting game I reckon. And surgery of any sort should not be done unless
you really have to I reckon.
