Bad Tummy Tuck
|
Question: I've heard that having liposuction might ultimately result in the body
gaining weight in other places. Would this be true of getting a tummy
tuck?
Can anyone give me some suggestion or informations?
Any experiences to share as well?
Answer: I'm not sure if you mean 'gaining weight in other places' or redistribution
of body fat after one of the procedures. The only thing that would cause
weight gain would be consuming too many calories. I have no idea if any
redistribution of fat could occur.
I guess I mean redistribution of fat. I know someone who had a good
amount of liposuction done (about 2.5 liters, if I remember correctly)
and 10 years out her body has gained weight in other areas of her body
that it hadn't done before. I guess that's a result of the lipo? (and
of course a result of getting older). So I was just wondering if
someone who has a tummy tuck would have that kind of weight gain in
other areas of the body? Or, would the fact that a tummy tuck isn't
necessarily lipo suction something that would meant that weight gain
wouldn't be quite that way. If a tummy tuck pretty much just deals
with the abdominal wall muscle and excess skin, then wouldn't that mean
that the body won't gain weight in other areas? Or am I thinking of
that wrong?
