Best Liposuction

Question: Has anyone used liposuction and seen an improvement in insulin and blood
pressure levels? I'm a 55 yr old male on the edge of glucose intolerance and
have a "spare tire" (abdominal excess fat) which is one indication of
possible T2 problems ahead. However the "spare tire" is most difficult to
lose by traditional exercise methods. So I'm contemplating liposuction in
hopes of helping my body get back to more normal insulin and BG levels.
Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Answer: I did read a study that indicated that there WAS a reduction in bg
levels after liposuction - BUT it was only temporary. There are a
lot a negatives involved for such a small gain.
1. It IS surgery. Any surgery carries a high risk, and should only
be undertaken if it is really necessary.
2. There are painful "after affects", and the results may not be all
that are desired.
3. I've seen it actually being done on a TV "real life" medical
show.
After an incision is made, a chemical is "piped in" to help dissolve
the fats, and then a large instrument is inserted and worked
backwards and forwards in different directions, with some force, to
"break up" the tissues. And they *are* complex tissues, consisting
of fibres, blood vessels and so on, as well as the actual fat CELLS.
It all gets mashed, then another metal tube is inserted to "suck
out" the bloody "soup".
Yes, it was horrific.
No wonder the post-op stage is so painful, and the person is bruised
and feels decidedly "beat up". Their body has literally been
abused.
4. The fatty tissue may very well return in no time at all, despite
all that. Or if not, in some cases where the remaining tissue is
treated to prevent that happening, fat is then deposited in other
areas of the body, leaving one with possibly some weird imbalances
in the body's conformation, and looking decidedly rather weird.
Why don't you try some of the kinder therapies, and treat your
long-suffering body a little more kindly? The fat is just the
body's way of handling the excess bg in the best way it can under
the cricumstances.
