Liposuction Gone Wrong

Question:

Accept no substitutes, demand a Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery for your cosmetic & reconstructive Plastic Surgery needs!

What's your opinions?

Answer:

This is the understatement of the year!

I've seen several articles that an MD in any specialty can legally do liposuction after completing ridiculously short training seminars.

We've seen endless horror stories of lipos gone wrong! and they were ususally not done by a board certified plastic/reconstructive surgeon.

The result can range from unequal distribution of fat on one side of the body compared to the other, to cases where patients have actually died after proedures gone wrong.

Pinching pennies on your choice of specialist is definately a false economy and can lead to disaster!

Sort of like asking your dermatologist to perform a c-section for you! a very dear friend of mine flew in to LA from Asia to have her lypo done by a highly recommended Plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills.

Everything went fine, both health and aesthetically, but she said the recovery was incredibly painful! Of course, they do keep you well medicated during recovery, but as the pills wear off it can apparently be excrutiating.
