New Liposuction
|
Question: I am seriously considering trying liposuction, and I was wondering if
anyone had any experience with it to tell me about, good or bad.
I read and hear both good and bad things about it, so I'm not sure.
I must say, I have an active lifestyle. I ride horses, I lift weights,
and I practice karate. I definitely get a good amount of aerobic and
other exercise. I also watch my diet and try to eat low-fat and no-fat
foods, stay way from sweets and anything excessively high in calories, try
to eat baked instead of fried foods, etc.
I am VERY healthy, and very muscular, and very active.Any thoughts from anyone out there?
Answer: 20/20 had a story on it on thursday, assuming u missed it, vogue has an
excellent lengthy article on it in its latest issue with claudia on the
cover. anyway, there is a new technique that has already been done to the
point that is practically perfected that basically eliminates 85% of the
old problems and dangers assoc with lipo. the best thing about it is that
u can get spot removal and look sculped even if u arent (provided u arent
obese). get the article if u are really interested
There is a new technique (called "tumescent," I think) liposuction that is
supposed to be far superior to the mathods used until now. Old methods
involved a horrendus amount of blood loss - so much that many people have
to be transfused before the operation - this new method is supposed to be
much better. Ask for it by name, because every place doesn't do it yet.
I don't have a problem with healthy, fit people fixing things they don't
like about their bodies with surgery. The problem comes in when unfit
and/or overfat people try to "cut out" their bad habits with surgery. You
sound like a good candidate, IMHO. It's too bad we feel we must do it,
though, isn't it? But I've felt the same as you and so I understand.
