Non Invasive Liposuction
|
Question: What ever happened with the technique some Isrealies came up with that
uses external ultrasonics to just rupture the fat cells?
I was told by a friend who's had lip multiple times that it's being
tested out in LA as "non-invasive liposuction."
Whether that's true, well, only her plastic surgeon knows for sure.
What's your opinion?
Answer: What this is *supposed* to be doing is breaking up the structure of the
fat cells (with the sonic waves) so that the fat and debris gets dumped
into the fat cell and taken care of.
I have to wonder about how good an idea it is to be dumping not only an
assload of stored triglycerides (as well as all the chemicals and crap
taht get stored in our fat cells over the years) as well as cell walls,
etc. INto the bloodstream.
It's actually an issue I'm concerned with in terms of killing fat cells.
When you get them to enter the 'death cycle' (a bitching biological term
if there ever were one), they break down and dump into the bloodstream.
In a controlled fashion, it's no big deal. Too much at once and the
person either gets an autoimmune reaction (some studies suggest lupus)
or worse.
I anticipate someone having a stroke from all the cellular debris in the
bloodstream at once.
In a very controlled fashion, breaking down small amounts of fat at a
time, it might just work. Should anyhow.
