Non Surgical Tummy Tuck
|
Question: I just had my 9lb baby 6months ago. My tummy skin is still flabby. Any
suggestion on how to accelerate the recovery of a tight tummy again?
I am still hoping there is a non-surgical way to get back to almost the way
I was before the birth. If not, at least I'll be ready when I plan my next
pregnancy.
Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Answer: I'm afraid I can't offer you hope: my skin on my tummy is still soft like
the skin of a very old person, because it had been stretched until the
stretch marks made it look like an accordion. I've given up on it ever
being taut again without some sort of 'tummy tuck' surgery - if you stretch
skin beyond its natural elasticity, it cannot snap back (think of the
pictures of African natives you've seen, with very heavy gold earrings and
the holes in their ears pulled about 2" long - even if they were to take the
earrings out, the holes would not snap closed and look small.)
if it is the skin, I'm afraid I don't have very good news for you.
I had my twins 4.5 years ago (combined weight 12 lbs 3 oz) and the skin
on my belly is still soft and wrinkly and loose. It's not a weight thing
because I weigh 10 lbs less now than I did before I had them, and my
doctor recently told be that my stomach muscles are in excellent shape,
all things considered. It's just that my skin was stretched beyond
endurance and has lost its elasticity. The only thing that would help me
is tummy tuck. My mothers of twins club is trying to negotiate group
rates!
