Plastic Surgery Tummy Tuck
|
Question: I have a question about plastic surgery?
recently, ive been considering plastic surgery. a tummy tuck. no matter how
much i work out, i cannot seem to loose my little belly. its very annoying. i diet & exercise, but nothing seems to work. i feel like its holding me back from having
the body i want. so i was wondering, if any of you have ever had the procedure done, & was it super painful, i expect pain, but i was wondering how bad. & was it worth it?
Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Answer: I had a GREAT procedure...less than 3 hours, and it really was not that painful.
What hurt the most was my BACK because you will need to be "hunched over" for a
while and that puts strain on your back. Naturally, the doctor's give you pain meds,
too.
You will probably have 2 "drains" put in you (to help remove the excess fluid your
body produces post-surgery) that will come out about a week after the surgery, you
will have to wear a "girdle" thing for several weeks, and you should probably plan
on not working for a solid 2 or 3 weeks. You will need help at home as well.
Overall, I have had a great recovery and my doctor is amazed at how well I have been
doing and how "NOT hunched over" I am already. Your recovery rate depends on your
level of health and fitness before the surgery, so think about that. I really think
the pain was not bad at all...but everyone is different.
Was it worth it? OH YEs. My stomach is FLAT! And I still have swelling! So I can't
wait to see the FINAL result! It is expensive, though, but I was able to finance it
through Capital One Health Care Finance, so look into it too. It sounds like you may
not need as "much" removed as I needed, so it will probably be cheaper for you.
