Post Tummy Tuck
|
Question: it seems like a fair number of the women
my DD knows who have had twins (or more) either have had or are contemplating a
Tummy Tuck. She is scheduled for an Abdominoplasty and Plycation (muscle
repair) this week, and I'll be the primary caretaker for her and her twins (almost 4 y.o.). Any advice, experience, tips for me?
Answer: My incision from my c-section opened up 10 days post op. Because
healing had already begun, the only way to treat the wound was to clean
in and pack it every other day and let it heal from the inside out. As
a result, I now have what looks like a second belly button in my
incision scar and it is pretty unsightly. It gets really gross when I
sweat. I will leave it at that.
I have not looked into having this repaired, other then getting a few
names of plastic surgeons. DH is against any type "not necessary'
surgery and I understand his concerns. But, he does not have to live
with this wound as I do.
I hope your daughter comes through surgery well. I would be really
interested in hearing about her experience.
If I ever have to go under for a scheduled/necessary surgery, I
plan to add this procedure providing it is medically appropriate. I
think it is a wonderful option for the amazing amount of hanging excess
skin that (sorry to be gross) you can't seem to tuck in a normal pair
of jeans!
