Prices For Tummy Tuck
|
Question: Anyone who has had a tummy tuck or know about prices?
I am wanting to get a tummy tuck done. I don't want to go
really cheap on the surgery but I want it done right. I believe
I may also need lipo on my lovehandle area. I have been looking
and it seens I could get it done for about 6500. But the one doctor
I consulted with quoted me 1200. He insists that others aren't
including everything in there price and I would end up paying
more than they quoted. I don't want to go cheap just to save money
but I don't want to get ripped off with a doubling amount.
Can anyone give me some advice?
Answer: No tummy tuck costs $12,000 that doctor is lying.
I lost 198 lbs in 1 year on the Kimkins Diet and because I had stretch
marks from being obese and 2 pregnancies I needed a tummy tuck and a
breast lift.
Because I lost over 100 lbs my HMO paid, but I live in the Los Angeles area
and tummy tucks run $4500, breast lifts $3500. That's for everything -- doctor,
surgical center, post op.
I had one about 7 years ago, and I'm glad I did. I was regretting it after
wards for a few weeks because of the pain, but it was well worth it. The $6500.00
price sounds to me that that includes everything, the surgeon, anesthesia,
operating room, etc. I would stay away from the one that said $1200.00 that
sounds way too cheap. I would suggest that you go to a board certified plastic
surgeon. All surgeons can perform a tummy tuck but the results probably won't
be what you want or expect. Any plastic surgeon that you talk to will also tell
you how much the surgery will cost and what that covers. Be sure to ask questions,
and ask to see before and after pictures of other patients. If they don't want to
show you, stay away from that one. Do lots of homework, it could save you lots of
money and heartache in the long run.
