Sex After Abdominoplasty
|
Question: I hear Dr. Ousterhaut is the best in the world at this, but he is VERY expensive.
I know that every surgeon has his good and bad points. One bad point about Ousterhout is
that he always leaves you with the impression that (if you have 'only' one or
two things done) you'll never be as passable as you might be if you'd spend
your whole fortune on his services. So he always leaves people with the idea
that they have not really yet transitioned as well as they could were they only
more 'committed'. That is a serious drawback. But then his work, according to
this biased source, is the best.
What's your comments?
Answer: NONE of the results I've seen of Dr. O.'s work (3
that I know of, but undoubtedly I've seen a lot more -- I've pretty well scoured
web sites such as "the Gallery of (TS) Goddesses) were very dramatic at all.
Maybe Dr. O. (and others) are afraid that patients might freak out if the changes
are real dramatic, or maybe my idea of the possibilities of cosmetic surgery are
unrealistic. But, given that we're changing sex I think that a lot of us are
hoping for a dramatic result. I've heard more than one person say that they've
seen Dr. O.'s patients after surgery, and that they couldn't even tell the
difference unless they held before and after pictured side by side and
specifically looked for a difference. I heard that at last month's big
"California Dreamin'" TS conference, Dr. O. gave a speech in which he commented
that to really see the difference following his surgery, many patients need to get
their facial skin tightened (i.e., face-lift), because the bone that he cuts away
leaves the skin loose.
