Tummy Tuck After C Section
|
Question: How does your scar look like now?
My c-section was 7 month ago, and my scar is still red, though it
doesn't hurt or itch or otherwise bother me.
My stretch marks (that only came after delivery) also are still red (or
rather blueish-red) and not the silver I read about in books. On the
other hand, my belly is still quite baggy (that is, a *filled* bag)
below the waistline, so the stretch marks have some reason to
still be there
Answer: My CS scar is almost 3 yrs old and is grayish white -- hardly noticeable.
However, I am still numb in that area. The Dr said if it was numb after a
year it would be permanent, so it looks like that's my fate.
I don't mind the scar or even the numbness so much, but I DO mind my
kangaroo pouch! I'm not sure if it's a result of the c-section or the 50 lbs
I gained and lost with the pregnancy, but I have such a baggy belly now. I
can't find a style of pants that looks decent on me -- I'm just all belly. I
hate it. I guess I'm resigning myself to wearing some sort of body slimmer
or control panties (I'm avoiding the word girdle). I'm short (5'4") and a
size 14 -- it's hard to find anything that looks good on me!
Don't have a c'section scar but have enough stretch marks for 3 or 4
people. Those have pinked up but not silvery yet. Was trying that
Mederma but don't think that worked very well so kinda gave up.
