Tummy Tuck Chicago
|
Question: Is there any solution to getting rid of the twins tummy syndrome without
surgery? I am not opposed to going under the knife. Anyone been there
done that, satisfied, unsatisfied? How do they do it? Where is the scar?
Does your belly button stay in the same place? I had all 4 of my
children without c-section and it would be nice to not have any more
scarring despite all the stretch marks.
Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Answer: I'm living in Chicago now. I dont know is there any differences
between your state and mine. But I think that
having a tummy tuck was the best thing that I have ever
done...however, it wasn't exactly my choice...after my last two
children, twins, now five were born, I tried for at least one year to
get back into shape and just could not do it. I was very depressed and
just wanted my stomach to look somewhat normal. I finally went to see a
plastic surgeon who was fantastic and he told me that I had an abdominal
hernia that needed repaired immediately and along with that i got a
tummy tuck. Well, I did my homework prior to the surgery which was
scheduled only two weeks after meeting with the surgeon and every
article I read said that I would be out of commission for a good six
months. Well, let me tell you. I was up on my feet within weeks. Of
course this is major surgery and I wouldn't tell anyone to push it...but
I had four children at home, two of which were 18 month old twins and I
couldn't afford to just lie around. I really do believe that it is all
in the frame of mind and if you are a positive person you heal quicker.
I had no problems. As for the surgery. It goes like this...They make
what appears to be a huge smiley face incision from hip to hip, below
the panty line. Then they separate your skin all the way up to your
breast bone. After that is done they cut off all of the access overhang
and then pull it tight backdown and then they stitch you up from hip to
hip. After that they build your belly button. I was so happy to wake
up without a stomach that no pain would stand in my way. One thing I
would greatly recommend is that you make sure that you find a great
plastic surgeon...make sure that you check out his references...they
should provide you with a list of patients that you an call and speak
to....if not...find another doctor who will...then...go for it...if you
have any further questions...just email me at fuddbust...@webtv.net It
has been three years since I have had this surgery done and I am still
enjoying it....
