Tummy Tuck Com
|
Question: I will be doing a face lift and tummy tuck within the next two to three
weeks. Anyone else here undergone these procedures?
It should make me feel a world better and a lot of years younger. I
will be having the same surgeon that does Mary Tyler Moore and she is a
diabetic.
Any suggestions?
Answer: I have a friend who took up running and after 6 months or so he had what appeared to
be multiple chins at his waste line. His doc recommended a tummy tuck and he now
looks terrific. No more sludgy tummy with multiple ripples.
No amount of exercise above what his running and training gives him could have
accomplished the job.
in my mid 30s, I finally got down to goal weight.
Most of the doctors I questioned would not do it unless the weight loss had
been sustained for two years. It wasn't a diabetic issue -- I was in good
control without meds for more than a year at that time. They simply warn
that it is a waste of money and possible health problems if we gain the
weight back again. I don't know if they still feel that way. I kept it
off only about two years anyway, so it's a moot point in my case.
Seems to me that once we've lost the weight, though, taking that excess
flap stuff off might help by removing those empty fat cells that are just
waiting to be filled up again, no?
At my age I'd only consider plastic surgery if they could take
my protruding tummy and swivel it around to add to my flat fanny!! Of
course a face lift would be nice, but I don't have the patience for the
recovery period
