Tummy Tuck Pain

Question:

6 years ago, I had a child with a c-section. After that I started experiencing some abnormal pain. The thing I remember the most is that when I had gas, it was sooo painful that I would keel over in pain. My doctor sent me to a ob-gyn.

Then about 6 weeks ago the pain seemed to come back. After intercourse, (about 10-15 minutes later), I would get pain. I can best describe it that someone was grabbing my insides and squeazing them. At times I could even feel the throbbing. This pain would last for 2 days. Before I have a bowel movement (like 1 hour) or just before I have gas, I get these pains again. Sometimes the pain has lasted for days and sometimes not.

About 2 weeks after being on the new pill, the pain seemed to be consistent. My lower back hurt so bad and I did not want to walk around. The pain was so bad, that I missed work one day. I decided to go off the pill.

Maybe this is in my head, but I started drinking magnetized water and the pain has decreased. The pain is not constant anymore, I just get pains before I have a bowel movement, even if my bladder is full, when I have gas or after intercourse.

I then went to the ob-gyn. He said it sounded like Endo, but he would do an examination. In the examination he grabbed my uterus and squeezed it. It was uncomfortable, but it did not hurt. I got the feeling that he thought that everything was in my head. After I left his office about 20 minutes later the throbbing pain came back.

I do not know if this will have anything to do, but about 15 months ago, I had a tummy tuck.

Does this sound like endometriosis? Or what could it be?

Answer:

It is not in your head. Do not let any doctor make you think that.

While you are working on getting diagnosed... I strongly suggest you try heating pads, thermacare or playtex patches, and menastil -- these are all natural pain relievers.

I'm afraid I do not know anything about the tummy tuck, but have you talked to the doctor who did that?

it sounds like endometriosis. But of course you could have "other" problems like fibroids etc..

Its not in your head. Your pain is real .. unfortunately all of us have been to doctors who had NO clue.. and did not believe us...etc.

You mention having had a C-section.. you could have adhesions from that too.

Sorry to hear about your pain.. You need to find a doctor who takes this seriously. I see you are in Canada...
