Tummy Tuck Results
|
Question: I've been working out for the past week and a half on the total
gym. I find most of the exercises use my abs in the workouts. You would
think with that, that my stomach would feel firmer but it doesn't. The
upper abs feel slightly tighter but my lower abs (big belly) feels a lot
more like jello than it used to. Is it possibly because the muscle
underneath is tighter and not pushing the fat on my belly out more and
therefore now it is mostly fat I feel?
Answer: There's a woman on ASDLC who had a tummy tuck... sounded pretty grisley,
with gooshing fluid and tubes and the recovery pain and the possibility
of losing her bellybutton, but she was very pleased with the results and
said it was worth it. It seems to be a much more involved procedure
than, say, simple liposuction.
I'd be interested to hear what Dr. Stone says about how complicated it
is, and whether there is a less-involved option for getting rid of the
jelly-like pooch (since I'm sure to have one forever after this wee babe
is born -- they say your ab muscles are never as tight as they were
pre-pregnancy).
